God continues to show us He is at work in Zambia – and not just through the HOPE Center. Back in December we were offered space on a container heading to Zambia and through your generous contributions we were able to send 180 shoe-boxes for our orphan kids there. (Some have been received and some are still in Customs, so please pray they get to the HOPE center and into the hands of the children soon).
The gentleman who takes care of shipping the container has been given a heart for Zambia and this is his way of helping God’s work there. All we have to do is get our supplies to him and he organizes it all AND pays the Custom’s fees. Isn’t it cool how God brings his people together?!
We’ve been offered room on the next container that leaves early June. Many of you have asked how you can contribute to this project, so here’s a chance. Below is a list of what we’re collecting.
Items can be dropped off at the Cornerstone Church office (56829 US Hwy 30, Ames, IA) anytime before MAY 22. If you have any items that you think would be good to send but are not on the list, please email me (r2wise@gmail.com) so I can let you know if we can use them and if they will fit.
Here are the things we are collecting:
School Supplies (new items only please)
- kids blunt tip scissors
- white school glue
- sidewalk chalk
- crayons (24 or 48 pack)
